Why are there limits?
Generating AI drafts costs money — running large language models isn't free. As an independent team without outside funding, we have to charge for usage to keep Ellie running.

Draft reply limits

Auto-drafts from a connected inbox count separately from manual drafts created in the extension.
Revisions
When you've generated a draft using the extension, you can revise any part of it:
- Highlight the text you want Ellie to rewrite
- Click Revise
- Ellie writes an alternative for just that section
Each email allows up to 5 revisions. Each revision attempt counts toward your daily limit.
What counts as a draft?
Each time you click Write in the extension toolbar, that uses one draft. Revisions are separate: each revision attempt uses one revision slot, up to 5 per email, and also counts toward your daily limit.
